The global market for food products, from ingredients to prepared items, is a great source of potential sales for ambitious companies. Reuters reported that a new law demanding health certificates for every food item entering China has been pushed back two years, mere days before it was slated to go into practice. The regulation was first announced in April of 2016, meaning it initially had an implementation period of just over a year.

Laws affecting international food sales in China are highly relevant around the world. The international commerce outlook for the country has become impressively large, according to PYMNTS. The site pointed out that two trends are simultaneously taking hold in China, with more consumers willing to buy goods across borders and individuals interested in purchasing food online. Considering the country's scale, producers of all kinds are likely monitoring its demand fluctuations and trade rules attentively.
