Welcome back to the Loftware blog. Today we'll continue discussing the many complex regulations manufacturers must follow when labeling sensitive products for use around the world.
Medical devices are one of the most carefully regulated sectors of goods - due to the potential health risks of unclear label information, this is obviously important.
Makers of devices targeting the American market should take note: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires some special stylistic elements on Universal Device Identification labels. For instance, dates should be in ISO 8601 format, with dashes between figures.
UDI labels contain a host of identifying data, some readable by scanners and others meant for human eyes. Every fact and figure is important and deserving of focus.
