Dealing with Labeling Regulations: Food Labeling and Consistent Data [Video]

Welcome back to the Loftware blog. Today we're looking at food labeling requirements, specifically regulation EU 1169, which has created a unified nutrition facts system for the European Union.

This new method, in which data must be available both in person and online, only works if companies have consistent information.

When businesses have many different databases in use, there is a chance that data will not be updated universally. To suit EU labeling regulations, manufacturers should bring their data under control, and use the same information for both communications and labeling.

When labeling systems are able to work directly from companies' central data reservoirs, they improve the chances of creating accurate and compliant packages, and avoiding the cost and difficulty of penalties or recalls.

Thanks for watching. We'll be back soon with more labeling insights.
